High School Financial Planning Program

The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program has been completely revamped and a new edition released!

Recent surveys and polls show that America's young adults lack the basic personal finance knowledge needed to make the most of their money. Clearly with today's rising number of personal bankruptcies, increases in consumer credit delinquencies, problems with debt, and inadequate retirement savings, the need to teach financial literacy to our high school students is critical! United Educators Credit Union has a solution.

We've teamed up with the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) to bring you the High School Financial Planning Program. This national program - aimed at putting the youth of America on the road to financial responsibility - is available at no cost, provided as a non-commercial public service.

It is proven to work with a track record going on 15 years, having reached over two million students in over 17,000 high schools in all 50 states. The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program comes in the form of a six-unit "mini" course that can be completed in as few as 10 classroom hours. It is accompanied by a comprehensive Instructor's Manual and Student Guides for each of your students - all you need to do is teach the program. It can be easily incorporated into almost any subject, including personal finance, business, economics, math, social studies or consumer and family studies.
