LOCAL CREDIT UNION CELEBRATES EARTH DAY WITH FREE SHREDDING EVENT
Eden Prairie, Minn. – In an effort to promote environmental awareness and identity theft protection, United Educators Credit Union will host a free Shred Day at their Eden Prairie branch at 7912B Eden Road on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Eden Prairie community is invited to drop off up to 2 boxes for shredding.
"UECU is committed to both recycling and protecting consumers from identity theft, so we have partnered with Shred-It to have a truck on site to securely shred documents on the spot," said Laurie Wright, Branch Supervisor. Credit union members and the Eden Prairie community are encouraged to bring unwanted personal documents, such as old account statements, cancelled checks, ATM receipts, unwanted credit card offers, and anything with personal information listed.
United Educators Credit Union was established in 1957 and is a member-owned, member-operated, not-for-profit financial institution, providing financial services to the Minnesota education community, their families, and those who support education by being a part of the United Educators Foundation.
