Business Member Groups
Although United Educators Credit Union was initially established to serve the financial needs of Minnesota's education community and their families, the credit union has broadened its mission to extend our membership to groups that can benefit from higher savings rates, lower loan rates, and financial education. These Business Member Groups, or SEGs (Select Employee Groups) as they are sometimes referred to as, are businesses and organizations that are located near our offices or involved in education. Being a member group is easy to administer. or U.S. Savings Bonds
We also offer the ability for our member groups to order American Express Gift Cheques or U.S. Savings Bonds directly from the credit union. These may be used as holiday bonuses, recognition awards, or as gifts to vendors. We will waive the standard fee for member groups. The American Express Gift Cheques are available in denominations of $25, $50, and $100.

CU Membership Qualification - It's Easy to Join
It's a simple three-step process:
- You, or a company representative, writes a letter requesting representation by UECU
- Your employees sign a petition requesting representation by UECU (less than 30 employees = minimum 2 signers, more than 30 employees = minimum 15 signers)
- Representation is adopted by our Board of Directors and submitted for recording by the State of Minnesota

Member Group form.
- Must currently offer direct deposit or payroll deduction
- Have been in business a minimum of 3 years
- Must not offer any other Minnesota credit union
- Must be located within 5 miles of a United Educators Credit Union branch or have an "education related connection"
