Accounts for every step along the road of life
Youth accounts at United Educators Credit Union – a great way to teach kids important life lessons about money. If you have children in your life, you know how important it is to start teaching kids how to save money at an early age. Any child, grandchild, niece or nephew of a credit union member is eligible to join the credit union and open up a youth account.
PEE WEE PENGUIN YOUNG SAVERS CLUB
The Pee Wee Penguin Young Savers Club is devoted to teaching kids ages 0 to 9 fun ways to save money. Club members enjoy a savings kit filled with a membership card, prizes and a club passbook. Every three months they'll receive a newsletter packed with stories, games, coloring pictures, and lessons about saving money. Every $5 deposit earns club members Pee Wee Points* that can be redeemed for fun prizes, either in our office or by mail. There is a $5 opening deposit, and a minimum balance of $5. Special Youth Certificates of Deposit and Education Savings Accounts are also available.

My Mula!™
A My Mula! account is a great way for kids ages 10 to 15 to save their money and earn free prizes and gifts from the credit union. My Mula! members get their own Frequent Savers Card that can be stamped for every $10 deposit*. Members can trade in their stamps for prizes after earning 5 or more stamps. My Mula! kids also receive a free newsletter, and a free ATM card (subject to parental approval). There is a $5 opening deposit, and a minimum balance of $5. Special Youth Certificates of Deposit and Education Savings Accounts are also available.

Student
Our Student Account is a place for young members age 16 to 20 to get a great savings and checking account with easy access to their cash. Student members receive a coupon for free checks, free checkbook balancing assistance, free access to their accounts by phone or online, direct deposit and a free ATM card. A Student account also includes a newsletter with money-saving tips, and a college scholarship contest for high school seniors. There is a $5 opening deposit, and a minimum balance of $5 for the Student Savings account. Student members may also benefit from our Youth Certificates of Deposit or Education Savings Accounts.
Grade Incentive Program
Youth account members are eligible for rewards for getting good grades in school. $1.00* will be deposited into your Pee Wee, My Mula or Student savings account for each "A" or equivalent grade earned for the semester, trimester or quarter. To receive your incentive, just send us a copy of your report card - either by fax, mail, or in person at any of our branch locations.
* This bonus may be subject to IRS reporting; 1099 MISC form will be postmarked by 1/31/2013 if your total bonuses accumulated from United Educators Credit Union for the year 2012 equal or exceed $600. |
