UNITED EDUCATORS CREDIT UNION ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP ELECTION RESULTS

Apple Valley, Minn. – United Educators Credit Union is thrilled to announce that Al Grandt, Owen Plauda and Mary Jo Buettner, were re-elected to serve three year terms in their positions on the United Educators Credit Union's Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee. The three volunteer leadership positions were filled at United Educators Credit Union's (UECU) Annual Meeting of Membership in late April.

Al Grandt of Woodbury and Owen Plauda of Vadnais Heights, were re-elected to the United Educators Credit Union Board of Directors. Grandt was re-elected as Vice Chairperson and Plauda as Secretary to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors sets the policies and direction of United Educators Credit Union.

Marie Jo (Dolly) Buettner of St. Paul was re-elected to the United Educators Credit Union Supervisory Committee. This committee ensures the financial stability and soundness of the credit union through regular auditing of operational and accounting procedures.

All Directors and Supervisory Committee members are volunteer members of the credit union. This unique structure sets credit unions apart from other financial institutions – they are truly run by members for members.

The Annual Meeting, held April 25, 2011, included 2010 highlights and fiscal review. President/CEO Del Danielson discussed the Credit Union's strong financial standing and its commitment to continue to create member value through solid, conservative and responsible business practices.
