CU Donates Mittens & Hats to Schools

UNITED EDUCATORS CREDIT UNION DONATES OVER 500 MITTENS AND HATS TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. - In the spirit of partnership and giving back for the holiday season, United Educators Credit Union held a Holiday Mitten and Hat Drive that collected over 500 items. UECU, a member-owned financial cooperative serving the education community, partnered with its members and school partners to collect donations for elementary schools through the month of December. The donations were given to the selected schools in January to distribute to those children in need.

Benefiting schools include:

• GreenLeaf Elementary School, Apple Valley
• Normandale Hills Elementary School, Bloomington
• St. Paul Indian Magnet School, St. Paul
• Teachers on Call in benefit of the Majestic Hills Ranch for Children
• Valley View Elementary School, Columbia Heights
• Wilson Elementary School, Owatonna
• Woodbury Elementary School, Woodbury

"Its heart warming to see the great generosity of our members" said Del Danielson, credit union president and CEO. "Through the charitable support of our members and UECU employees, we were able to provide essential winter garments to keep children in our community schools warm for the remaining winter months."
