Credit Card Program Makes the Dean's List

LOCAL CREDIT UNION'S CREDIT CARD PROGRAM MADE THE DEAN'S LIST

Apple Valley, Minn. – United Educators Credit Union's VISA® Credit Card program has made the Dean's List on Ondine Irving's website, the Credit Card Connection. The 5 Star Seal of Approval was earned for consumer friendly credit card practices based on five components: interest rates less then 18%, no balance transfer fees, no penalty rates, late fees at or less then $25, and no annual fee. Credit unions must meet or exceed the minimum requirements for each attribute to be added to the Dean's List.

Credit Card Connection is a not-for-profit started in December 2009 by Ondine Irving to connect consumers directly to the most fair and ethical credit card programs in the country. Suze Orman, a personal finance expert and TV host, recently appeared on Larry King Live and mentioned the benefits credit unions offer with their credit card programs as well as promoted the Credit Card Connection website. Orman is quoted as saying, "I have come to believe that many Credit Unions are more ethical and fair to their customers then banks with credit cards."
