Investing in a Certificate of Deposit (CD) allows you to maximize your earnings while keeping your money in an insured account. CDs are available at competitive rates for terms ranging from 3 months up to 5 years. A $500 minimum is required for all CDs. There is a substantial penalty for early withdrawal of funds prior to maturity date.
You may increase the published rate by .10% if you are a Zenith Club Member, .10% if you are a Credit Union Ambassador or .10% if you open a certificate of $10,000 or more - for a total reward up to .30%! Term must be one year or longer.
Youth Certificates are available for our young members up to age 20. Opening a Youth Certificate for your child is another great way to teach them about saving for their future. Youth Certificates only require a $100 minimum balance. A variety of terms are available, and we have now added an option for unlimited deposits to the CD. Adding funds will not extend the original maturity date, and early withdrawal penalties still apply.
