Showing our commitment to the education community and the members we serve is an essential part of who we are. UECU has partnered with schools in the communities of our four branches to work together on projects and activities that will support the efforts of faculty and students. Each Spring, we celebrate Credit Union Youth Week in all partner schools to improve student's financial literacy skills. We recognize that financial literacy at a young age sets the ground work for financial savvy adults. School partners include: Eastview High School, Normandale Hills Elementary School, Woodbury Middle School and Sand Creek Elementary School (coming soon).

Normandale Hills School Partnership
The partnership started in 2002 through a Bloomington Chamber of Commerce initiative to partner businesses with Bloomington schools. Both staff and students have the opportunity to join the credit union. Partnership highlights include a monthly Credit Union Day, credit union staff tutors, and classroom speakers.

Sand Creek Elementary School, Coon Rapids, MN
This partnership was established in Fall of 2012. The school is located just a few short miles from the UECU Coon Rapids branch.
